  After watching the final hour this morning, I think Jackson's avoiding the commission would be far more damaging than his appearance, no matter how he handles it and no matter how the society spins it.

  The RC knows for a certainty now that something is rotten in JW land, and they haven't invested these kinds of resources only to throw their hands up and walk away.

  It would be great if the society's response to this matter was to no longer permit women's participation in congregation meeting since the bible commands "women to be silent." 😉

  That was a great point made by McClellan, highlighting the society's inconsistent application of scripture.

  I had wondered about that myself while "still in" but would not have questioned it openly in a million years for fear of reprisal.

  as we know, the things claimed by the previous witnesses are not true regarding the amount of control the gb has.

  I don't have a legal background, but I would say that if it was the intent to deceive the RC wrt Jackson and the GB's roles, that is indeed perjury. It would be up to the RC however to prove their intent to deceive and to further pursue the matter.

  someone please tell me how or if i can find proof that the rumor [that is pasted below] that was posted by a friend [still in, but should know better] on my face book page is false, [which of course we all know it is,] this makes me so angry, i have to stick my neck out and comment on this post but need something to back me up....anyone want to enlighten me where this got started?

  i need proof he never said such a thing, it seems to me its false.

  I am shocked that so far, the commission hasn't questioned anyone over that 2013 letter from the U.S. Branch to all branch service departments outlining the conditions under which a child abuser may be appointed an elder.

  Personally I found this to be the most damning of all evidence they gathered.

  I'm wondering if the commission isn't "building" towards it. I can't imagine how they will even try to dodge it. . . . .
